Mortgage Consultant

Alpine Mortgage is seeking several Mortgage Consultants. Work from your home or one of our Home Loan Centers. The schedule is autonomous and managed/determined by you. Most of the work is conducted in person with face-to-face meetings.

In this job, you can expect to:

• Originate and close mortgage transactions
• Establish personal relationships with customers and business partners through face-to-face appointments and follow-ups
• Provide excellent customer service and attention to detail on each loan account
• Work with a talented team of regional mortgage consultants in Maine and New Hampshire
• Get support from an excellent processing department and a seasoned management team

Ideal candidates will have:

• A minimum of two years of experience originating residential loan applications
• A track record of generating a minimum of five closings per month with the ability to generate a minimum of 6-20 closings per month
• Full knowledge and understanding of: the selling process and developing/implementing sales plans
• Exceptional closing skills and the ability to assess our customers needs accordingly

Ideal candidates will also have a familiarity with:

• Pre-qualification principles and practices
• Conforming and non-conforming, FHA, VA, New Hampshire Housing, Maine State Housing loan products, with the ability to price and originate all loan types
• HELOCS/fixed seconds
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills

We are looking for experienced loan officers primarily, however we will consider inexperienced candidates if they have the following characteristics:

Job Requirements:

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Mortgage sales experience is preferred, but we will consider an exemplary inexperienced candidate
